I have worked as a registered, chartered physiotherapist for over 24 years after qualifying in 1990 in Glasgow. For a substantial period of time I have been dedicated to working in a busy NHS outpatient department and A&E treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. I also have experience in the private sector working part-time for 10 years in a private sports injury clinic and for two seasons at a Suffolk rugby club.
I have a special interest in treating sports injuries, complex lumbar spine and pelvic girdle conditions. I recently completed a series of courses in Pilates with the APPI (The Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute). I use this rehabilitation principle with clients on an individual basis and in a group environment. I also see patients with breathing pattern disorders and am a member of the ‘Physiotherapy for Hyperventilation Group’.
Away from work I like to horse ride, swim (especially in open water!), cycle, attend the gym and ski when the opportunity arises. I also enjoy wildlife photography and making jewellery.
